Korean Ssamjang Sauce recipe sauce makes enough for 4 servings
Korean Ssamjang Sauce Recipe is super easy to make. But first let’s get to know what this sauce is all about and where it comes from. So this is a Korean sauce most commonly known as a Korean BBQ dipping sauce. Therefore you can buy a premixed container of ssamjang sauce at any chinatown or local Asian grocer. But it is always tastier when it’s made fresh. Therefore here is a quick and easy recipe for a delicious ssamjang sauce. Lastly, this sauce is most popular as a Korean BBQ dipping sauce. A delicious way to spice up your rice dishes with Korean Ssamjang Sauce
The base of this sauce is gochujang paste. Made from red chili peppers, glutinous rice powder and fermented soybeans. The paste is mixed with spring onion, garlic, ginger and honey to create a sweet and spicy sauce that’s easy to top on any rice dish. Or use as a dipping sauce.
To make korean Ssamjang Sauce you’ll Need:
Ingredients:
-Gochujang paste 2 tablespoons
-Spring onion : 2 green stalks
-Garlic (1 clove)
-Ginger (1/2 inch piece)
-Honey (3 tablespoons)
-Water (3 tablespoons)
-Sesame seed oil (2 teaspoons)
Preparation of Ssamjang Sauce:
- Finely chop spring onions, garlic and ginger
- Toast sesame seeds
- Add Gochujang paste in a mixing bowl with water and honey and mix
- Add the rest of the ingredients into the mixing bowl
- And mix well

And it was absolutely delightful. Chashu chicken is a Japanese dish that consists of braised chicken in a soya broth. Served with rice or noodles and often with other vegetables, such as mushrooms and peppers. The word chashu means “fatty pork” in Japanese. So the name of this dish refers to the texture of the meat—it should be tender and juicy, but not so fatty that it is greasy.
